Evan Burgener
Computer Support Representative, Brookfield, Missouri
I am a Computer Support Representative at É«ÇéÂÛ̳ – Brookfield. In Computer Support, I answer calls and emails from yearbook customers who are having trouble or have questions when making their Yearbook.
My day-to-day activities include answering chats and calls from customers and making cases after I have answered their questions or fixed the problem they were experiencing. I also answer emails from customers and reps who need help or have questions about our programs.
I was a summer intern last year at É«ÇéÂÛ̳ – Corporate Office. Once I started working, I found that I enjoyed the people and the company a lot, so I decided I would apply for a position once one was available. I have been in computer support since October. If you count the three months from when I worked at the Help Desk for my internship, I’ve worked at É«ÇéÂÛ̳ for three-quarters of a year.
The thing I love most about my job is the people I talk with. It feels good to help people who are having trouble, even if it’s something as simple as unlocking a yearbook page. The fact that I can make a positive impact on someone’s day just makes me happy.
My personalized coffee mug would say: I only talk to myself when I need expert advice.
A fun fact about me is that I ride a motorcycle (when the weather permits).
My family consists of three dogs: Teddy Roosevelt, Axel Rage and Beatrice, A.K.A. Black Betty (Bam-Ba-Lam!). I also go on motorcycle rides with my Grandpa Steve often.
My favorite hobbies include reading books, playing guitar, and spending time with my family and friends.
É«ÇéÂÛ̳ has contributed to my future by providing a job that will allow me to grow and advance. É«ÇéÂÛ̳ has given me the opportunity for a lifelong career with their company, which will help me in the future when I decide to settle down and start a family.
One way I gave back to my community recently was by being involved in a play production named “Virgil and the City Slickers.” It was a fundraiser that members of the community participated in to help raise money for the Father McCartan school.
My favorite memory from working at É«ÇéÂÛ̳ is the mystery of the Fudge Round Fairy. Mysteriously over the weekend, six fudge rounds were placed on a coworker’s desk and no one knows how they got there. The fudge rounds were disposed of.
